From Raw Ore to Product with Superior Industrial Quality

At Negin Majd Khavarmianeh, fluorspar processing is not just an operational step but a strategic part of the product’s value chain. Our goal in establishing this division is to increase purity, improve quality, and provide a product ready for industrial and export markets.

Relying on a combination of classical methods and modern technologies, the production process at our mine is designed to proceed step-by-step and in a controlled manner—from crushing to achieving purities above 97%. We believe that intelligent processing is the key to producing a high-quality, reliable product with consistent performance tailored to each customer’s needs.

Following this page, the current active stages, ongoing projects, and our capabilities in product supply and delivery are introduced. Additionally, a reference overview of other fluorspar processing methods is provided to give industrial audiences a more comprehensive understanding of the available options in this field.

Current Operational Capacity and Production Volume:

Raw Fluorspar Ore Production (Before Processing)

Our operation, leveraging rich mineral reserves, has the capability to extract approximately 30,000 tons of raw fluorspar ore per month. This high capacity ensures a stable supply of raw materials for both our customers and the internal processing lines.

Processing Capacity and Final Product Output

Using advanced crushing and separation equipment, the processing capacity of the facility is approximately 2,500 tons of final product per month with a purity above 70%. This processing includes precise quality control and the selection of particle size tailored to various applications.

Product Purity Range

The fluorspar products of our facility are produced with an adjustable purity range between 25% and 97%. This flexibility allows us to custom-tailor supply to meet the diverse needs of the chemical, steel, and metallurgy industries.

Particle Size Variety

The final products are produced in a range from fine to coarse particle sizes. This variety in particle size enables the facility to meet the diverse requirements of industrial applications, from steelmaking to chemical industries.

Current Active Stages at the Plant:

At present, several key stages of fluorspar processing are operational within our facility, but this is only part of our development journey. With a long-term, technology-driven approach, we are expanding advanced processing infrastructure to not only increase purity, capacity, and product variety but also to meet the latest global industrial and export standards.

Crushing and Screening

The fluorspar production process at our facility begins with crushing the raw ore. This stage is carried out using industrial crushers and screens, aiming to achieve controlled and uniform particle size distribution—an essential factor for enhancing the efficiency of subsequent processing steps. By precisely adjusting particle sizes, this stage plays a key role in preparing suitable feedstock for impurity separation and upgrading the fluorspar grade.

Manual Separation with UV Light

In the second stage, we use manual separation with ultraviolet (UV) lamps. This method allows operators to distinguish and separate fluorspar minerals from optically identifiable waste materials such as calcite or quartz. The advantages of this method include high precision, low cost, and suitability for relatively coarse feedstock. It is also used as a pre-processing step before flotation.

Flotation (Under Construction)

The flotation unit of the complex is currently under construction and will be added to the factory’s production lines after commissioning. This unit is designed to upgrade fluorite purity to levels above 97%, and its operation will enable the production of export-grade materials suitable for the ceramics (glaze) and chemical industries. At this stage, medium-purity materials (60% to 80%) undergo processing after separation, where chemicals and air bubbles are used to remove the remaining impurities.

Briquetting (Under Construction)

Our Briquetting unit is currently under development to optimize resource utilization and minimize the loss of fluorite fines. In this process, the fine particles and powders generated during the crushing and processing stages are compressed under high pressure using specialized binders to create uniform, high-density briquettes. Once operational, this facility will specifically cater to the needs of the metallurgical and steel industries. These briquettes offer superior mechanical strength and consistent grade, significantly enhancing gas permeability and reaction efficiency within smelting furnaces.

Progress of Key Processing and Energy Projects

At Negin Majd Khavarmianeh, we view mine equipment not as a one-time project but as the foundation for sustainable development. All our projects are being implemented with the goals of increasing efficiency, improving product quality, and meeting both domestic and export standards.

Overview of Common Fluorspar Processing Methods

Fluorspar processing to achieve high purity can be carried out using various methods. Each method is selected based on the ore type, impurity levels, and the final production goals. At our facility, some of these methods are actively in use, while others are being considered as potential options for future development.

Below is a brief overview of the most important fluorspar processing methods:

4

Leaching

This method uses acids or bases to dissolve impurities such as calcite or surface oxides. Although highly precise, it is costly, time-consuming, and environmentally sensitive.

Application: Used in special cases for producing ultra-pure fluorspar
Limitation: Requires careful wastewater management and high safety measures

5

Optical Sorting

This method involves manual or mechanical separation of particles based on differences in color or brightness. It is suitable for primary waste removal in coarse particles.

At our facility: Manual separation using UV light is implemented to identify and separate non-fluorspar minerals.
Advantages: Good accuracy with coarse particles, low cost
Limitations: Ineffective for fine particles, requires trained personnel

At our facility, the choice of processing method is always based on the type of raw material and the purity level required by the market. Our strategy involves a combined and stepwise use of these methods to both increase efficiency and deliver a high-quality, reliable product.

Quality Control and Standards

At Elite Fluor , product quality is not just a slogan; it is a fundamental principle in our production process. Although our operations in fluorine processing have only recently begun, quality control has been established as an integral part of our operational structure from the very start.

Currently, the quality of raw materials and final products is inspected daily and continuously in our laboratory unit. Key quality control steps include XRF, XRD, ICP analyses, and thin-section examination, all performed with high precision and in accordance with market standards.

We have plans to fully equip our in-house laboratory, obtain reputable national and international certifications, and implement modern quality monitoring systems. Our goal is to ensure that customers have complete confidence in receiving a high-quality, consistent product that meets their technical requirements.
