Different Grades of
Fluorspar
At Elite Fluor, we supply a comprehensive range of industrial fluorite in three primary grades: Acid, Ceramic, and Metallurgical, all with guaranteed chemical analysis. Tailored to industrial requirements, our products are offered with the following specifications:
Acid Grade Fluorspar
Fluorspar (Fluorite) with a purity above 97%, used in chemical industries for the production of hydrofluoric acid (HF). Due to its high purity and very low impurity levels, this grade holds the highest industrial value and is mainly used in the pharmaceutical industry, petroleum refining, and aluminum production.
Ceramic Grade Fluorspar
Fluorspar (Fluorite) with a purity ranging from approximately 90% to 97%, used in the production of specialty glass, glazes, and ceramic products. This grade, due to its light color and low levels of interfering elements such as iron and phosphorus, is utilized in more delicate industries where the aesthetic quality of the final product is highly important.
Metallurgical Grade Fluorspar
Fluorspar (Fluorite) with a purity between 60% and 90%, primarily used in the steel and cast iron industries to lower the melting point of slag and improve fluidity in blast furnaces. This grade is the most economical type of fluorine and plays a key role in energy savings during the metal smelting process.

Key Applications of Fluorspar

Acid Manufacturing Industries
Used in the production of hydrofluoric acid (HF), which is the key raw material for many fluorine-containing compounds. This type of fluorspar is known as "acid-grade fluorspar.
Steel and Metallurgical Industry
Used as a flux in metal smelting to lower the melting point and remove impurities (metallurgical fluorspar).
Ceramics and Glass Industries
Used in the production of specialty glass, ceramic glazes, and optical products.
Industrial Chemical Manufacturing
Used in the production of Teflon, refrigerants, aluminum, paints, and plastics.
